Situated in the Karakoram Mountains, it lies on the northern border of Pakistan with China, serving as a vital connection. The elevation of Khunjerab Pass reaches 4,693 meters. This pass marks the border between Pakistan and China and is accessible through the Karakoram Highway. The name "Khunjerab Pass" is derived from the Wakhi language. Chinese Ambassador Mr. Yao Jing has mentioned that visit visas for Pakistani citizens will be issued through Khunjerab Pass.
